Challenge: The graphic, hyperlinked worldwide web was still young when we were asked to promote Toronto Dominion Bank's business products and services on its groundbreaking website.

Solution: We developed the "business banking centre" section, full of content which fit the expectations of early web-users: namely no hype, please. Instead of advertising products outright, we provided real case histories showing how small, medium and large businesses had become more efficient using TD products alone and in combination. Each mention of the product was linked to a low-key description of the product and its benefits.

We also developed an "issues" section, in which business people could find a challenge they faced, and learn how a TD product would help them.

The site received numerous professional compliments, and business people used it extensively. The business banking centre remained a key part of TD's site for many years
